EllieMD review
EllieMD combines a 12-week weight-care model, provider messaging and CloverRx pharmacy with a brand-partner distribution business. Its current public treatment page reaches an account gate before showing prices. Earlier prepaid figures remain historical evidence, not a confirmed current quote. The three-month minimum and strict pharmacy-stage refund rules make the commitment worth checking first.

How we scored EllieMD
Each score comes out of EllieMD's published pricing, disclosures and oversight, and the six combine into the 40/100 Editors' Rating on our weighted six-factor framework. A commission never changes a provider's score.
The headline rate obscures a plan requirement or a hidden step-up.
Cost is unpredictable, premium, or hides behind a plan commitment.
Little here is shaped around a mother's week or her life stage.
Support is thin once the prescription ships.
Oversight and lab support fall short of the best we track — the review below says exactly where.
Leaving costs you — notice windows, minimum terms or fees you don't get back.
How we verified this review
- Primary source
- The company's own site
EllieMD's current public pages describe 12-week care, CloverRx pharmacy and a three-month minimum commitment. Current plan prices were not visible before a Login/Register gate. The historical pricing rows were checked earlier in October and are not a fresh quote. Terms require cancellation 48 hours before renewal, retain installment obligations for the active term, and impose a $99 administrative fee on certain early cancellations.
What to expect when you sign up
We walked EllieMD's public signup — a first-hand look at the flow. We don't create accounts, enter medical data, or complete checkout, so this is what any visitor sees, not a patient outcome.
These signup observations are from . The flow and offers may have changed; use the current pricing and terms in this review.
- 1The signup button keeps you on EllieMD's own site
- 2Before any intake, a configurator asks you to choose injection or oral drops, the medication and an additive, then shows the plan prices
- 3We stopped before the medical intake, so the later screens are not described here
What we noticed
- Prices appear in the public configurator before you hand over any health information
- Every plan is at least three months long; there is no single-month option

What we like
- Provider messaging and a structured reassessment after 12 weeks are described publicly
- Injectable or oral drops, with a free B12, carnitine or glycine additive on the injection
- The homepage promises a refund if a clinician declines treatment; ask when payment is captured and how that exception works
- Names its pharmacy (CloverRx) and three operating entities in its own terms
- Its per-month conversions on other products divide weeks correctly instead of by three
The caveats
- It is a multi-level marketing business, with a brand-partner back office and an income disclaimer
- The current public program leads to Login/Register before a price is visible; older prepaid figures need confirmation
- A "month" is a 4-week supply — the 3-month plan is a 12-week supply
- Canceling after payment but before the prescription reaches the pharmacy costs a $99 fee; once the pharmacy has it, nothing is refunded
- A $30 late fee applies when a payment-plan installment is three days overdue
- "GLP-1 Support+" is a protein shake sitting in the product list as though it were a GLP-1
- Its banner says all 50 states while its FAQ says "most U.S. states", and no list is published
EllieMD: a twelve-week care model that asks for a real commitment
EllieMD describes weight care built around a 12-week prescription, provider messaging and a dedicated CloverRx compounding pharmacy. It also runs a brand-partner distribution business, with partner account access and an income disclaimer visible on its website. Keep the clinical decision separate from any recommendation made by a compensated partner. The important buying questions are the current treatment quote, the minimum commitment and how the prescription is reviewed before it reaches the pharmacy.
Current quotes now require an account
The current public weight-care page leads from Personalize Your Formula to Login or Register before the medical questionnaire. We did not create an account or enter health information. No current plan price was visible before that gate. The prices listed in this review therefore remain an earlier October check, not a freshly confirmed offer. Ask EllieMD for today's full quote before relying on a number saved from that earlier configurator.
In that earlier check, the shortest injectable subscription cost $717 for semaglutide or $897 for tirzepatide, described as three months and a 12-week supply. Buying the same supply once was $837 or $1,047. Six-month subscriptions were $1,374 and $1,734, while twelve-month subscriptions were $2,388 and $2,988. Those figures are retained as dated context so you can understand the scale of the commitment; they are not a promise that the same plans or amounts are available now.
The smaller four-week equivalents on a longer prepaid plan are not independent monthly purchases. Ask how many weeks the current longer plan supplies and when it renews, rather than assuming a plan labeled twelve months covers 52 weeks. Installments can make a large bill feel smaller without changing the total you owe. EllieMD's Terms say canceling does not release you from remaining installments for the active subscription period.
The care is not provided by a brand partner
The current weight page names CloverRx and describes clinician review through the patient portal, with consultation by messaging or video depending on the state. It presents reassessment after the first 12 weeks as part of continuing treatment. EllieMD is the technology platform, while independent medical professionals make clinical decisions. Ask who your prescriber is, how to reach that person between reassessments and which concerns require a separate visit rather than a portal message.
The medication menu distinguishes weekly injections from oral drops and labels both as compounded options. Those formats should not be compared as though they have identical evidence or instructions. Ask which molecule and formulation the clinician proposes, why it fits your circumstances and what the pharmacy will dispense. The site itself states compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Its community-support claims and testimonials do not demonstrate the outcome you personally can expect.
The cancellation clock matters
The Terms require subscription cancellation through the portal at least 48 hours before renewal. A late request applies to the following period, leaving the upcoming charge in place. Certain weight services require an initial three-month minimum whether paid in full or installments. Record the renewal date as soon as the order is placed and keep the cancellation confirmation. A regular reassessment is not a substitute for managing the renewal deadline.
An administrative fee of $99 applies to certain cancellations after payment but before the prescription is transmitted to a provider or pharmacy. Once pharmacy processing has occurred, the Terms say the subscription cost is non-refundable, including when side effects, a provider recommendation or a health change means stopping. The homepage separately promises a refund if the clinician finds you ineligible. Get the scope and payment timing of that exception clarified before buying a longer term.
Availability is more qualified than the banner
The weight page banner says all 50 states, but its FAQ says most U.S. states including DC, with availability depending on pharmacy authorization and telehealth rules. It excludes Puerto Rico and other territories. Those statements do not establish a precise covered-state list. Confirm your address and where you will physically attend the clinical consultation before enrollment. A national brand-partner network is not evidence that each prescription can be dispensed everywhere.
The same FAQ says pregnant or nursing patients may not be eligible, with the provider deciding after review. That is a disclosed limitation, not a postpartum treatment plan. If pregnancy or weaning might affect the next three months, discuss it before committing to the minimum term. The trying-to-conceive guide can help prepare that conversation. A lower-dose format does not remove the need to discuss reproductive timing with the clinician.
Our buying advice
EllieMD may interest someone who wants a community and a structured 12-week reassessment routine, and it names its pharmacy more clearly than many sellers. Its account-gated current pricing and strict prepaid obligations make it harder to evaluate from the public page alone. We would want the current total, supply length and refund terms in writing before paying. Compare that quote with other GLP-1 programs for moms, and let a licensed clinician make the treatment decision rather than a compensated brand recommendation.
The bottom line for mothers
Best for: A mother untroubled by buying a prescription through a referral sales organization, who can prepay at least three months at a time.

The one program on our list whose number still makes sense at the top of the dose. A flat, all-in monthly price on both molecules, no teaser rate to expire, and a cancel button you can actually find — the closest thing to a family-budget guarantee we've reviewed.
- Visit Oak
A flat, all-dose compounded price with an oral option and a genuinely thorough intake — undercut by a headline that isn't the real month-to-month number and terms that lock you in hard once the box ships.
- Visit Live Vital
Semaglutide and tirzepatide sold as 10-week protocols — $299 and $549, about $130 and $238 a month — from a broader peptide platform where a named physician personally reviews every intake, though the advertised per-month figures are lower than the protocol totals work out to.

EllieMD, answered
- How much does EllieMD cost?
- There is no month-to-month plan. The shortest purchase is a 3-month (12-week) supply: on subscription, $717 for semaglutide injections or $897 for tirzepatide; as a one-time purchase, $837 or $1,047. Six- and twelve-month plans cost less per four weeks — down to $199 for semaglutide and $249 for tirzepatide on a 12-month subscription, paid up front. Oral drops are $897 (semaglutide) or $1,137 (tirzepatide) for three months. The price stays the same as your dose goes up.
- What is included in the price?
- EllieMD advertises no hidden membership, shipping or consultation fees, with provider messaging and reassessment after 12 weeks. Its homepage describes payment after assessment and a refund if the clinician finds you ineligible. Confirm today's full quote; prices were not visible before the account gate.
- Can I cancel EllieMD?
- Subscriptions can be changed or canceled up to 48 hours before the renewal date. Canceling an order after you have paid but before the prescription is sent to the pharmacy costs a $99 administrative fee, and once the pharmacy has processed it, no refund is given — so a prepaid plan is a real commitment.
- Is EllieMD available in my state?
- Its banner says all 50 states, but its FAQ says "most U.S. states," including Washington, D.C., and not Puerto Rico or other territories. No list is published, so confirm your state at the start of the intake.
- Can I use EllieMD while pregnant or breastfeeding?
- No. EllieMD says you should not be pregnant or nursing, and that patients who are pregnant or nursing may not be eligible.
